Kagoshima prefecture is located on the Southwest tip of Kyushu island and is particularly famous for the production of sweet potato (imo) shochu. The World Trade Organization has granted imo shochu from Kagoshima a “geographical identification” under the name of “Satsuma Shochu”. This makes it on par with other famous regional alcohol products including Champagne, Bordeaux Wine, Cognac and Scotish Whisky.
Come dine with us on Sunday, November 11th and enjoy a selection of some of the best Satsuma Shochu from Kagoshima carefully paired with a seasonal 9-course tasting menu by our chef Lok Yan Li. With some of the producers joining us all the way from Japan, this is a truly unique opportunity to learn more about artisanal shochu. A welcome shochu cocktail will be prepared by Ms. Ayumi Endo from one of our favorite bars in Hong Kong – Mizunara the Library.
Admission: $888 HKD per person + 10% service charge.
