Elliot Faber
Elliot Faber is the Beverage Director for Yardbird, RŌNIN, and Sunday’s Grocery in Hong Kong. He is also the founder of Sunday's Distribution - a distribution company focused on a curated selection of wine, sake, and spirits. As a Certified Sommelier and an Advanced Sake Professional, Elliot is a Senior Whisky Advisor to Zachys Wine Auctions, a Contributing Elliot to JamesSuckling.com, and the co-author of SAKE: The History, Stories and Craft of Japan’s Artisanal Breweries. In October 2016, Elliot received the award of Sake Samurai from the Japan Sake Brewers Association Junior Council, an honor that few people have received since its inception in 2005. As a Director of Sake Central, Elliot’s goal is to create a unique retail space that provides an authentic understanding of Japanese food and beverage culture to people around the world.
TAKASHI ENDO
Born just outside of Tokyo in Kanagawa Prefecture, Takashi Endo worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers upon graduating Hosei University in the year 2000. By 2012, Endo had moved to Hong Kong and started his own firm, L/Rights and Partners, with the goal of supporting Japanese entrepreneurship through advisory services and investment funds. In 2014, he opened Cafe Life in Hong Kong’s Police Married Quarters and the popular coffee shop will be opening its second location in 2018. Throughout his career, Endo has focused on supporting and promoting Japanese culture outside of his homeland and as a Director of Sake Central he continues to do so today - using his experience and resources to help create awareness and appreciation for the world of sake on a global scale.
MATTEO S. CERAVOLO
Matteo started working in F&B in 2015, after attending the Sake Sommelier course from SSA in London. He moved to Hong Kong in 2017 to be part of the opening team of Sake Central, which became the most iconic Sake related venue worldwide. He has always been a great fan of the food and beverage culture, and he deepened his knowledge in the Italian ones, a true touch point with his roots. In 2021 he CO-founded with the Sake Central team Awa Awa, an Okinawa inspired Bar and Restaurant, in Peel Street, Hong Kong. Matteo is also managing partner of Milanosake, one of the biggest sake importers in Italy. Lastly, he opened the Hong Kong Branch for Panglossian Studio, which has created Awa Awa's brand identity and all private labels for Sake Central.
